guitarmodesIconBlue

This new app is an unique collection of guitar modes that gives you an excellent original material for improvisations! "Guitar Modes Symmetry School" is a triple horizontal system, in which modes are played with three notes on each string. Unlike the "vertical-traditional" fingering, this school presents "horizontal-extended" fingering, that helps to perform modes in 2-3 octaves bound. Such artists as Shawn Lane, Frank Gambale, John McLaughlin, Allan Holdsworth, Guthrie Govan, Paul Gilbert, Steve Vai and others used to practice extended fingering in their songs.

I bought the app but I was disappointed because each mode should have the 7 positions on the fretboard instead of just one. I feel I paid to much just for one position. :-?

All the seven positions are presented. For example, mode no.1 - C Ionian I (position I), mode no.2 - D Dorian II (position II of C Ionian), no.3 - E Phrygian III (position III of C Ionian) etc. All 7 positions. The same thing with all the other modes in the app.
And "Mode" button is intended to switch between these positions.
So please stop confusing people with incorrect information. ;-)

No open postions? :-*

Open string notes contradict an idea of this app: three fingers on a string. Without open strings, using 3 fingers per string you can easily memorize and play the modes, that's what the Modes Symmetric System is intended for.

I just want to know if this apps suggest modes to a particular chord progressions or to any given chords I want to play or does it have samples of chord progressions where it suggests a modes I should play

Hi
I bought the app symetric mode hd and hd app bebop mode, both very nice, although I would like to see in the symetric mode tre "variation" as in musical scales bebop. Thanks :-)

Thanks for the question. There isn't "variation" button in modes app due to limitations to the number of modes inside the app. We plan to expand the number of modes with each free update.

Fonexsis also planning creation of apps, in which there will be variations of 2, 3, 4 notes per string and mixed note systems, for example how it is done in our Bebop app.

Is there a left handed option for the school of symmetry app?

In current version no, but maybe in future updates.

Thanks a lot to you guys for your immediate reaction and adding a METRONOME!!! Your apps work best for me!!)) Could you please also add some harmonic major scales?

Thanks for the message! We will definitely do that in future updates. BTW, we already added Harmonic Major modes in the update of our Bass Modes Symmetry School app! Also we added there a Metronome, Harmony chords and some new features! So please wait for the updates and stay tuned! ;-)
